About Oud Mirage — Arabic Perfume Boutique
Oud Mirage is a Polish boutique founded by people who fell into Middle Eastern perfumery on a trip to Dubai and never came back out. We import directly, we test everything we sell, and we keep the catalogue small on purpose. This page explains how we work and what we will and will not do.
How it started
The first trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi was not about perfume. What changed that was a small shop in the old souk where the owner spent forty minutes explaining the difference between Cambodian and Assam oud without any expectation of a sale. We came home with three bottles and an obvious question: why is this category almost impossible to buy properly in Poland, and why does everything available online come with no information about origin?
How we source
We buy from producers and authorised distributors in the UAE, without intermediate wholesalers. Every shipment is verified on arrival against batch codes, and every composition is worn by our team for a full day before it enters the catalogue. If a composition does not survive that test — flat development, poor longevity, harsh dry-down — it does not get listed, regardless of how well it might sell.
What we will not do
We do not sell counterfeits, and we do not use other brands' names as product names. Where a composition shares a profile with a well-known fragrance, we say so plainly and describe it as an alternative — never as the same product. We do not inflate longevity claims: our published wear times are measured, not marketing. And we do not pad the catalogue with compositions we would not wear ourselves.
Help choosing a scent
Fragrance advice is the part of the job we enjoy most. Tell us what you currently wear, what you liked and disliked about it, and where you plan to wear the new one, and we will suggest two or three options — usually starting with samples. We answer in English and Polish, by email and on WhatsApp, and we would rather talk you out of a wrong purchase than process a return.
